Club Tennis

The courts are available for club members throughout the day except for Good Friday and Easter Sunday and when official coaching, matches or tournaments have been organised. Members are advised to check the Events & Fixtures page for details of organised activities when the courts will not be freely available.

During the match season - Tuesday and Thursday evenings have been designated as Club Nights and members are encouraged to come along and join in with fellow Members. Ladies matches will take place on Thursday evenings during the match season. Ladies or men's summer league matches will avoid Tuesday evenings if at all possible although in the event that bad weather results in matches having to be rescheduled it is sometimes necessary to arrange a match on these evenings.  On the rare occasion that this happens notices are put up in the club house and members notified by email.  A match fixture list and notice to remind us all will be put up in the club house nearer the time - also check Events and Fixtures on this site.
After the match season ends all evenings become available for club play.

All day Saturday and Sunday afternoons are also available for club play except when official coaching, matches or tournaments have been organised. However from late September to mid November the courts may be used by the Ladies for the Winter League matches.  Once again a
match fixture list will be put up in the club house nearer the time - also check Events and Fixtures on this site.

On sunny summer evenings we sometimes get more players than we have courts - on these occasions it is customary to play doubles, mixing in with other club members. If there are players waiting for a court, play is limited to 8 games (i.e. 2 serves each) before players must swap in with those waiting.

Flood lights must be out by 9:30pm.
